Aerospace Metallic Glass Materials

The researchers at the University of Saarland in Germany have developed a new amorphous metal titanium-sulfur alloy. This alloy, also known as metallic glass, is completely different in performance from conventional titanium alloys and is particularly suitable for use as a lightweight component in aerospace. This achievement was awarded the Inventor Award by the University’s Knowledge and Technology Transformation Center.
