Porsche Taycan replaced the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. The specialty store's factory space in Zufenhausen has been expanded by about 33%, and the entire operation has been optimized to make the job more efficient. The 21,528-square-foot space now houses four new hoist platforms, more storage space and a direct line to the finished freight station. All this serves to launch Taycan and its upgraded level upgrades.
Porsche has at least 90 configuration options available for a battery electric – rectangular sports car. There are three sports packages available, each with a slightly different look. Porsche says the packages are differentiated, "with the lower front apron, ruff panels and diffuser side fins." According to the photos shown here, the Taycan has larger aerial pieces with shields than the models seen earlier and has more sculptures in the front fascia. Depending on what package the user chooses, the side fins paint the body color, or leave carbon.
Probably the most interesting option is the set of wheels. The 21-inch aeroblades are made of forged and milled carbon, each weighing 6.6 pounds. Porsche also mentions headlamps, specifically LED matrix headlamps with Dynamic Light System Plus, which can be lined with 3D circuitry – board graphics, headlamps, and daytime running light elements can deliver Glacier Ice Blue or other shades.
Inside, the carbon interior package adds matte finish to the front and rear doors and trim to the center console. The accent package brings contrasting interior colors, and the front and rear door trims can be painted to match the exterior paint color. Belts can also be ordered in Graphite Blue, Truffle Brown, Lime Beige, Creon, Blackberry, Merant Brown, Slate Gray, and Bordeaux Red.
The Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur previously worked with magic on several other Porsches, such as the 911 Turbo S, Macan S and Cayenne Coupe. The Taycan community will be in the spotlight this weekend when it appears in a Porsche Super Bowl ad.
