Using a passport from most versions of Windows, this is a web service, there is not much on the client. XP allows you to pass a passport for each user if you want and Windows Messenger appears to use a passport (so only disable who uses it). I have not seen the Outlook XP request or use the passport anything yet …

NET Runtime is available in 9x / 2k / XP, I'd expect it to be the new versions of Windows starting. Clear server line. In reality, however, someone who decides against them. Net runtime is about the same as someone who decides they are against Win32 API. You either like or do not protect you and helicopter. / My services do not have to make a decision. Just because MS uses the same name on everything on the web site (Windows and Office XP would have been already .NET instead of XP if Net Frame was ready in time …) does not mean they are all the same ;)
